Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are back to being a couple, but are keeping it low this time around.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have kept gossip mills busy for a long time now. After rumours of the couple's split earlier this year, the two are back together now. The numerous times Virat and Anushka have been clicked together after their supposed split are proof enough of their current relationship status: that all is back to being well in paradise.
However, seems like Virat and Anushka are no longer willing to wear their relationship status on their sleeve the way they had earlier done.
A report in Night says how Virat chose to not face the media at a current event lest someone asked him about Anushka.
Kohli hosted a charity dinner on June 3. While journalists and photographers waited for him for several hours, not once did he show up, reports the tabloid.
Mid-Day has quoted a source as saying, "Journalists and camera crews arrived at the event by 8 pm and was there till 2 am. However, Virat did not show up at all. He steered clear of the media apparently to avoid questions on Anushka and the current status of their relationship."
The source added, "After Virat and Anushka patched up in April, they are taking care not to go overboard with public display of affection. That is why he chose not to interact with the mediapersons, who waited for hours to talk to him. Also, he did not want the attention to be diverted from the noble cause that he has taken up."
Virat and Anushka were snapped together by the cameras as recently as three days ago when the actor was leaving for Budapest. Virat hugged his girlfriend goodbye at the Mumbai airport as she left for Hungary to complete shooting for Sultan.
Meanwhile, Anushka, who has completed her part of Sultan, tweeted a photo from the last day of the shoot in Budapest:
